Board of Management

The Authority shall be managed by a Board comprising of—

1. A chairperson, who shall be an eminent scientist, appointed by the Minister;
2. The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for the time being responsible for science and technology;
3. The Permanent Secretary in the ministry for the time being responsible for finance;
4. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for the time being responsible for agriculture;
5. The Director-General of the National Environment Management Authority;
6. The Managing Director of the Kenya Bureau of Standards;
7. The Managing Director of the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Services;
8. The Director of the Department of Veterinary Services;
9. The Secretary of the National Council for Science and Technology;
10. The Chief Public Health Officer;
11. Six other persons appointed by the Minister, of whom at least two shall be of either gender
